Health and Safety

To ensure that everyone is safe in an environment where there are numerous electrical connections and trailing wires please note the following;

1) An electricity supply of 230volts, minimum 30 amps, protected by fuse / circuit breaker, is required to supply the band amplification and lighting equipment.

2) In situations where electrical power is not being directly supplied from a fixed mains electrical outlet, i.e. from a generator or by extension lead from a remote mains electrical outlet, heavy duty cable must be used.

IMPORTANT: Where use is being made of an extension lead it is advisable to completely unwind the lead to avoid the possibility of it overheating.

3) At venues where there are young children present, parents should ensure that children are kept away from the electrical sockets and leads located around the stage area.

Electrical equipment used by Junction 5 has been PAT (Portable Appliance Tested) for electrical safety in accordance with the 1989 Electricity At Work Regulations.
